First, choose a role. At every stop, whoever suits that place steps forward and opens the story. When you arrive, a character from the folktale speaks to you. Answer the quiz and finish the mission to win back a shard. Collect them all, and you close the story at the final place.
Long ago, two people lived by the sea at Muchangpo. The husband did not see with his eyes. Instead he knew by which way the wind came, how far the water had come in, and whether he could smell the mudflat drying. He was the one in the village who knew the tides best. The wife spoke aloud the things the husband could not see. What color the sky was today, how far away that boat was. So the two lived, each knowing different things. One day the wife went across to the island on an errand. It was a path where you walk in when the water goes out, and come back before the water comes in. That day the water came in early. The husband stood on the shore and called for his wife. The wife called for the husband from the other side. They could not see each other, but both knew the other was there. A few times a month, there are days when the water goes very far out. On those days a road opens up through the middle of the sea. People call that road the Mystic Sea Road. The person you will meet today is that husband. Just one thing. The husband speaks of past things as if they are happening now. He does not say "it was so," he says "it is so."
